Kids can't fall off (one side of) the deck!

Worked to finish in the dark last night, so had to wait until this morning to take pics. Still need to tension the cables and cut off the excess, but I'm checking it off my list:

Looks fabulous! Can't wait to see it in person.
(Checking it off the list before it's totally finished?!? not sure what i think about that...)

I'm almost done with the exterior cedar and the drywall - was thinking I might check those off too...

How much $ is it running per square foot?

Anon, are you asking overall or for the deck? Overall I'd have to say right now we're about $140 or so /sf, though that's a rough guess. I won't do the real tally til we're done, which will involve tracking through lots of receipts and credit card bills. But soon, hopefully.

The deck was a bit over $20/sf - that's also a rough number, but close (576 sf; $5K for ipe, 2K for cable rail system, 1K in labor for the framing, 3K or so for cedar and framing lumber, 800 for the hidden fasteners).
