Five Thousand Words

An absurd number of things have gotten done over the last 24 hours, which I will elaborate on later. For now:

And a HUGE thank you to Sarah's mom Beth for all her help.

Incredible! It's so cool to see the transformation. You've really put in a lot of work on the place and I LOVE the integration of the fireplace.

Speaking of which, if anyone is interested, I've done a few comparison posts on euro-stoves on my blog. Here's a link:

Looks great. It's amazing how a little deadline pressure can focus the mind. I discovered this when we bought our current house while I was in the midst of renovating the downstairs of the house we lived in at the time. A project that had dragged on for months got finished in three weeks.

Thanks guys. One worry I've had for awhile was that it was always going to be nicer in pictures than in real life, seeing all the little nits that aren't perfect and don't show up in stages photos. But it sure is nice to sit here at the table and look outside, which you can't do with a picture...

I'm amazed at your accomplishments over the last month. Congratulations - to you and your family - you made your deadline. It's inspirational on every level. Enjoy.

Chris,
Wow, you really skimped.

haha, TOTALLY kidding -- it looks BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm sure you must be exhausted but the outcome is worth all of your hard work!

Soon you'll have an equally beautiful site to go along w/the house. Can't wait to see the house in person.

As the first guests to stay in the house, Laura and I were both so amazed. The place is gorgeous! What a great place to celebrate our anniversary

Definitely inspired us on our own prefab modern project
